In this trek we see many peaks over 5,000 meters such as the Huascaran (6768m), the highest peak in Peru, and the Alpamayo (5947m) with its unique pyramid shape, which was ranked in the Global Survey on Scenic Beauty of Munich, Germany, in 1966, as “the world’s most beautiful snow. ” It was first climbed in 1957.

Itinerary

We continue north of the city of Huaraz traveling to Huaylas alley to the village of Hualcayán where it will be the first camp.and where we begin to walk.

We will walk up the path to 4320m where we see the best sunset in the Black Mountains thus leading to our second camp in Wishcash.

On this day we observe the Cedar Creek with abundant vegetation and animals, and the famous snow-covered Lake Cullicocha of the Santa Cruz.

We will continue our trek up to the next camp where we see the most beautiful mountain in the world the Alpamayo (5947m)

On this day we will go to the lookout for a closer view of Alpamayo and other mountains that are around.

We will walk the highest pass which is Cara Cara (4750m) and we will reach the Huillca campsite.

We begin a climb where we have spectacular views of the Andes and landscapes that adorn the white mountains and arrive at our camp Jancapampa (3650msnm).

We continue our trek surrounded by beautiful countryside with vegetation and wildlife to reach our camp.

We will depart for the passage of Pucajirca (4650m), to where we will see snow covered peaks such as Pucaraju and Taulliraju and other mountains and then we will get to the campsite of Tuctubamba (4100m) and from there we see the mountains of Paria, Taulliraj, Paron and Piramid.

On this day we will go to Punta Union pass (4750m.snm) to see the best view of the mountains that are around such as Taulliraju, Rinrijirja, Pujaraju, Artezonraju, Artezon Raju, and others.

We will pass through some villages, such as Huaripanpa, Colcabanba, Chalhúa where we see the daily life of people in the Andes.

We will walk to the Campo Avalancha where we see freshly fallen avalanches and the snow covered peak Contrayervas.

This day we walk about 5 hours and complete our last stop at Yanayacu (4850m) and we see the snow covered Contrayervas, Ulta, and Chopicalqui, reaching the bus to Huaraz.
